Childrens Book Week 2015
Our big event in term 3 is Book Week August 22nd - 28th. We will be celebrating with a Bookfair, where children can buy books to keep and Book Week Parade and Grandparents Day Friday 28th August. Grandparents and Parents will be given the opportunity to purchase books to be donated to the Information Services Centre with a book plaque recognising the family or child who donated.

The Theme for this years event is " Books Light up our World" for more detailed information from the Children's Book Council click the link to their website. The shortlisted books have some interesting reads for children from 0 - 16.
We will be hosting a whole College Read-a-Thon to get all students from K-11 reading. Information brochures will be sent home the first week back and students will have a few weeks to get their sponsors before we begin reading during Bookweek and Literacy Week the following Week. There are some great incentives where children receive a prize for raising as little as $10. Other prizes include football, basketballs, skateboards and cameras. with a chance to win the ultimate prize of a family trip to Disneyland.The money raised will go towards some great resources for the Information Services Centre to be used by the whole college community.
